Licence fees

You must pay your occupancy fees according to the terms of your contract which also provides payment instructions. We recommend you set up a bank standing order to pay the fee on the due dates which are on the same day every month. Use the lead occupant’s surname and property number as a reference, e.g. “SMITH59”.

Each occupant is jointly and severally liable for payment of the total balance. If payment is not made after a request, the property owner will contact all guarantors for any outstanding fees due. Interest charges apply from the due date once you are more than 14 days in arrears at a rate of 3% above the Bank of England base rate.

Occupancy cancellation #

Occupants remain liable to pay all licence and other fees even if they move out of the property for any reason during the contracted occupancy term. Their liability ends when:

1. the occupancy period ends, or
2. the room/property is re-occupied. The property owner is under no obligation to find new occupants.
