Bathrooms and toilets
Occupants are responsible for cleaning and maintaining bathrooms.
Showers #
Do NOT use showers during a power cut.
Keep the shower curtain inside the bath or the shower door closed to prevent water leaking onto the floor. Do NOT leave the curtain or door open while waiting for the shower to heat up.
Use shower mats and ensure you have spare dry ones.
Regularly clean:
- the seal around the shower to prevent mould appearing and causing further damage.
- tiles, doors, and glass around the shower.
We recommend you use “Dettol Mould and Mildew remover”. Please read the instructions before use.
Waste disposal #
Use bins to dispose of hard products and waste and such as nappies, sanitary towels, cotton wool, fabric, tampons, condoms, wet wipes, kitchen towels, paint stripper, acids, solvents, etc.
Do NOT put items such as these in toilets, shower trays, or sinks.
Macerator toilets #
Macerator toilets have 2cm pipes and can only handle human waste and toilet paper.
- Do NOT use them to dispose of other items.
- Do NOT use rim blocks or similar devices which can fall into the unit.
- Do NOT use them during a power cut.
Leaks and blockages #
Please contact us about leaks or blockages.
Issues caused by occupant or visitor negligence will be rectified at the occupant’s expense.
